Who We Are
Staff
At the Lincoln Bike Kitchen, we’re fortunate to have a talented team of people who keep our mission rolling—led by Executive Director Shari Weiss Shanks and supported by dedicated staff—Cat Griffith and Wayne Schafer. Together, Shari, Cat, and Wayne embody the heart of the Lincoln Bike Kitchen—sharing their expertise, mentoring volunteers, and helping more people in Lincoln enjoy the freedom and opportunity that a bicycle provides.

Shop Coordinator
Wayne brings decades of experience as a former bicycle shop owner. His keen eye for detail, deep knowledge of bike components, and commitment to quality repairs help ensure every bike leaving our shop is safe, reliable, and ready to ride.

Executive Director
Shari brings a clear vision for building a welcoming, community-driven culture. With a background in marketing and communications, she focuses on sharing LBK’s story, strengthening connections, and making sure the space supports access, involvement, and a sense of belonging for everyone.

Administrative Assistant
Cat Griffith, Administrative Assistant at the Lincoln Bike Kitchen, brings contagious energy, exceptional people skills, and a genuine interest in everyone who walks through the door. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with volunteers and participants alike help create the supportive, encouraging environment that defines LBK.
