Volunteers Keep Us Rolling
What We're Looking For
LBK offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, including customer support, shop work (training provided!), events, data entry, and skill‑based support like IT or finance.
With the exception of IT, finance, and data‑entry roles, volunteer positions are active and hands‑on, requiring movement throughout the space, standing for periods of time, and some lifting (up to 25 lbs). Volunteers should take these physical requirements into consideration when applying.
Who Can Volunteer at LBK
To meet growing community needs, LBK trains volunteers who can participate regularly. We do not offer short-term or on-the-job training placements. Because of the nature of our work, are unable to offer volunteering to youth under the age of 18. Groups who are looking for one-day community service opportunities should contact us to discuss what's available.
If you are committed to volunteering with LBK long-term, first step in volunteering is to attend an orientation to learn about our process and find the best fit for your interests.
Orientation Details:
- Plan to arrive at the City Municipal Building, 308 S. 21st Street, at 10 a.m. on the orientation day you choose
- There's plenty of parking and bike racks in front of the building
- Come to the front door and ring the bell
- The orientation should take 30 minutes or less
We look forward to seeing you!
